EXAMINATION COMMITTEE

Various committees are formed in the College for the smooth and efficient management of activities. It also gives the opportunity to the faculty to grow and develop in their extracurricular activity and administrative skills. The committees are constituted by the Administrator & Secretary, Principal in consultation with the senior faculty members and HODs for one academic year or until new committees are constituted.

The college conducts term examinations (internal examinations) and class tests besides the Final Semester Examinations for the continuous evaluation of students. The Examination Committee is responsible for all matters connected with exam scheduling and conduct of examinations.


Duties and Responsibilities of the Examination Committee

 INTERNAL EXAMINATIONS

In a semester there used to be two term examinations which will assess the academic progress of the students and the results of the same is intimated to the students as well as the parents. The marks secured by the students in these term examinations will be taken into account for the calculation of Internal Assessment marks. The scheduled dates of the Term examinations are mentioned in the college calendar. The time table and the syllabus for the same are announced 10 days ahead of the commencement of the examination

  •  Notification of Examination
  • Preparing Day wise Schedule of Examinations (Time table)
  • Instructing the faculty to submit question Papers before commencement of Examinations
  • Allotment of invigilation Duties to the Faculty
  • Preparing Seating arrangements
  • Issuing Question Papers & Answer Booklets to the invigilators
  • Collection and Packing of answer booklets (Chronological order)
  •  Hand over to Concern faculty with respect to the subjects through office staff.
  • Maintain records for all the activities.
  • The Exam Committee shall ensure that adequate stationery, like answer sheets, drawing sheets, charts,  graph paper, drawing boards, trays, threads, water jugs etc. are made available.

EXTERNAL EXAMINATIONS

Conduct of BU Semester Examinations

  • The Examination Committee shall prepare relevant time tables for the College based on the Examination  Time Table of the Bangalore University.
  • The Examination Committee shall make the Block and Seating Arrangement and display them on the    concerned Notice Board/Website and Blocks.
  • Though the teaching faculty is entitled to vacation if eligible, it is expected that they are available for   examination duty at least for two weeks. Hence they shall give their vacation preference dates to the   Exam Committee in the format provided.
  • The Exam Committee shall prepare and display an overall Supervision Duty List as well as Daily    Supervision Duty List on the Staff Notice Board/College Website.
  • The Exam Committee shall ensure that adequate stationery, like answer sheets, drawing sheets, charts,   graph paper, drawing boards, trays, threads, water jugs etc. are made available.
  • The Exam Committee shall hold a pre-exam meeting to brief the members of faculty with regard to the    examination procedures and the role and responsibilities of supervisors.
  • A report of same shall be submitted to the Management & Principal.
